Project Overview

Since September 2023, in my role as a Program Lead in Computer Science, I have been overseeing all aspects of the Computer Science pre-Bachelor and pre-Master programs, ensuring alignment with both UK standards and German regulations.

Responsibilities as a Project Lead

As the Program Lead, I design Computer Science programs that cover a wide range of topics, including Computing, Programming, Mathematics, Statistics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Bash, SQL, LaTeX, R, and more. I organize the program's learning environments, coordinate program staff, and develop appropriate learning resources to engage students with concepts and principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing the Computer Science programs to ensure that it meets all UK academic requirements
• Organising the program learning environments (textbooks, lectures, seminars, labs)
• Coordinating program staff, hiring new members, and leading a key team of 12-15 people involved in the program, such as lecturers and mentors
• Finding and developing appropriate learning resources to ensure that students engage with concepts and principles to meet the assessment criteria
• Monitoring students’ progress and well-being throughout the program and providing regular feedback to help them develop

Responsibilities as a Lecturer

Teaching in the pre-Bachelor's module "Computer Science Ecosystems", I deliver lectures, in-person and remotely, on various technical subjects. From web development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to data manipulation with SQL and R, my goal is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of computer science principles.

Main Focus and Challenges

My main focus lies in program leadership, project management, and ensuring the quality of education. Upholding UK standards while adapting to the needs of a diverse student body presents both technical and logistical challenges, but it also provides opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
